Extract data from PDFs, straight into Google Sheets.
Vink reads the PDFs you receive and puts the values under your own columns. Every approved PDF becomes a new row in your sheet.

You pick the fields yourself, and with them the columns of your sheet.
How do you get data out of a PDF without typing it over?
You describe the data you want, and Vink fills it in for every PDF.
Copying from a PDF works as long as you can select the text. With a scan, a photo of paper or a handwritten form it doesn't, and a converter to a spreadsheet gives messy cells. Vink reads the page the way a person does and puts every value in the column where it belongs.
Which data can you take from a PDF?
Any detail on the page, in the form you choose.

How data from a PDF gets into Google Sheets
In four steps, without formulas or scripts.
- 1
Make a Form
Each field becomes a column. The field's key heads that column, such as invoice_number.
- 2
Connect Google Sheets
Sign in with Google. Vink makes a new sheet in your Drive, or you pick a tab in a sheet you already have.
- 3
Send the PDFs in
Email them to the Form's email address or drop them into Vink, several at once if you like.
- 4
Approve
After your approval Vink adds a row under your columns. When the PDF has a list, such as invoice lines, each line gets a row of its own.
Every PDF you approve becomes a clean row in your own sheet.
Does the data need to go to another system too?
Then add a second Integration to the same Form, next to Google Sheets.
An approved PDF goes to every Integration of its Form. So it lands in your sheet and in your own system at the same time, through your workflow tool or the webhook.
Questions about PDF to Google Sheets
After your fields' keys, such as supplier_name. Vink adds submission in front, and approved_at, approved_by and delivery_id at the end. So each row shows which PDF it came from and who approved it.
Yes. You pick it in Google's file picker. Vink puts each value under the column with the same name, wherever that column is. When a column is missing, Vink adds it.
Each line of the first list becomes a row of its own. The PDF's other data repeats on each row, so you can filter and add up.
Yes. Vink also reads scans, photos of paper and handwriting. Where it is in doubt you see a flag, and you check that value before the row reaches your sheet.
Not when Vink sends a message again: it recognises the row by delivery_id and doesn't write it twice. Upload the same PDF again and that is a new document, so a new row.
No. Google Sheets is part of every Vink plan, and a free Google account is enough.
Every page costs 10 credits, so a three page PDF costs three times as much. You start with 200 free credits. After that you pick a plan, from €49 a month.
